Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and understood. Our sensory-friendly appointments are thoughtfully designed for children who may need extra time, flexibility, or a calmer environment during their haircut.

This option is ideal for children who experience sensory sensitivities, anxiety, developmental differences, or who simply benefit from a slower, more personalized approach.

What Makes This Appointment Different

During a sensory-friendly appointment, we may:

  • Reduce noise and stimulation in the salon

  • Allow extra time for breaks and reassurance

  • Move at your child’s pace (no rushing)

  • Use gentle communication and clear expectations

  • Skip steps that feel overwhelming when possible

We understand that not every haircut will look perfect, and that’s okay. What matters most is that your child feels safe, respected, supported, and proud of themselves! Progress looks different for every child, and we honor that. Our goal for these appointments is for your child to feel okay with getting their haircut and not be scared anymore.

Appointment Length & Pricing

Sensory-friendly appointments - $30

( 50 minutes )

These appointments are scheduled with extended time to ensure your child never feels rushed. The pricing for this service is based on the longer appointment length, not on a diagnosis or sensory needs. We never charge differently based on a child’s needs, only on the amount of time reserved.

  • These appointments are longer than our standard haircuts

  • Pricing reflects the additional time and flexibility built into the schedule

  • Extra time allows us to move at your child’s pace and take breaks as needed.

This approach helps us create a calm, supportive experience for your child.

How to Prepare Your Child

Every child is different, but some families find it helpful to:

  • Talk through the visit ahead of time

  • Bring a comfort item such as a toy, tablet, ect. (may get hair on it)

  • Share preferences or triggers in the booking notes

To provide the best possible experience for your child, these appointments are requested by email. Please fill out the form with details about your child, and our team will get back to you as soon as they can! Sensory-friendly appointments are currently every third Saturday of the month at 4pm or 5pm.

You are welcome to share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
